Ukraine exhibits destroyed Russian tanks in Kyiv

Kyiv, Ukraine: Destroyed Russian military tanks and armoured vehicles were put on display in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The residents flocked to see the open air exhibition as the city returns to some semblance of normality.

People spent the weekend exploring and taking pictures with the rusted vehicles placed in Saint Michael's Square. Babies and children weren't the only ones examining the tanks, even pet goats were among the spectators.

Since the war began in February 2022, Ukrainian military has managed to counterattack and halt Russians from seizing Kyiv and Kharkiv. But they have lost the strategic city of Mariupol to Russians and are on the brink of losing control over the Donbas region.

Normalcy has returned to some extent in Kyiv in the recent weeks with shortened curfew hours. Now the residents are able to move around more freely, businesses are steadily reopening, and diplomats from foreign countries are slowly coming back. France, Germany and Britain embassies are already up and running.

Boris Johnson even visited Kyiv to meet Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky. The Polish president Andrzej Duda was the first one to address Ukrainian politicians in person since the war began. He delivered a speech in the parliament in Kyiv on Sunday.
