US infiltrates big ransomware gang: ‘We hacked the hackers’
The FBI and international partners have at least temporarily dismantled the network of a prolific ransomware gang they infiltrated last year, saving victims including hospitals and school districts a potential US$130 million in ransom payments, Attorney General Merrick Garland and other U.S. officials announced Thursday.

Rockets fired from Gaza following deadly Israeli raid on Jenin refugee camp in West Bank
It was the deadliest single raid in the territory in over two decades. The flare-up in violence poses an early test for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's new far-right government.
Of the five rockets fired at Israel, three were intercepted, one landed in an open area and another fell short inside Gaza, according to Israeli military.

Up to 6 million birds are on the verge of dying in Western Kenya
The government started looking at approaches of controlling the bird and the quick fix for the government — they looked at aerial spraying using avicides and these are chemicals which they spray over the birds and the birds die.
Environmental lobby groups say it is a "quick fix" that has adverse effects on the environment. They say the avicide is toxic to humans but also to non-targeted organisms.

India launches its first inhaled Covid vaccine
Made by Bharat Biotech, iNCOVACC is administered in the form of drops and stimulates an immune response in the tissues that line the nasal cavity.
Scientists say that nasal vaccines may offer added immunity in the lining of the nose and upper airways, where Covid typically enters the body.
Research teams in the UK and the US have also been investigating nasal spray vaccines.

JPMorgan looking to finance Italy's Serie A for up to 1 billion euros
Serie A has been looking at options to extract more money from its media rights, which account for roughly half the revenues of its clubs.

Storm Cheneso picks up in Madagascar, more flooding to come
Storm Cheneso first made landfall as a moderate storm nine days ago in the Sava region in northeastern Madagascar. Cheneso weakened as it stalled over the country for much of the week and is now strengthening.
Cyclones are typical in southern Africa from December to March, but scientists say climate change has caused storms to be wetter, more frequent and more intense.
