For Gen Z, TikTok is the place to turn to when you’re looking for answers. Where to find cute cafes in town? What is the best Italian restaurant in London? What exhibitions are on in Paris? How to write a cover letter? How to have a clean break-up?
While these might be questions boomers and millennials would ask Google and find on WikiHow or Tripadvisor, Gen Z has been found to seek advice from the same app that bursts with dance trends and pop music.

President Zelenskyy's planned appearance at Italy's Sanremo Music Festival sparks criticism
This is not the first time that Zelenskyy has appeared with pre-recorded video messages and has courted international A-listers to help with the war effort in Ukraine. He has done so at last year’s Grammy Awards, and at ceremonies during the Cannes and Venice film festivals and, two weeks ago, at the Golden Globes.

Brutal cold seizes northeast U.S., shattering record lows
The arctic blast flowing into the United States from eastern Canada brought record lows to Albany, New York; Augusta, Maine; Rochester, New York; and Worcester, Massachusetts, among other places, the NWS said.
The NWS office in Caribou, Maine, said it had gotten reports of "frostquakes" - tremors that feel like earthquakes but are caused by the soil cracking suddenly in the cold - as well as trees splitting open, likely due to sap freezing inside the trunks.

Seychelles ranked Africa's least corrupt country - 2022 CPI
The island nation retained the position for the 5th consecutive year and 23rd ranking globally attained in 2022 with 70 points once again.
Denmark outperformed Finland and took first place with 90 points. Finland and New Zealand are second and third with 87 points each.
