Bosnia Serb leader Dodik threatens to declare independence
According to constitution, the national parliament must adopt a property law that would be valid across Bosnia, but Dodik, who is president of the Serb Republic, says that deprives the Serb region in Bosnia of the right to its land, rivers and forests.

Japan PM Kishida unhurt in 'smoke bomb' scare, resumes campaigning

Macron signs contested French pension bill into law
Protests rallying hundreds erupted in other cities including Marseille and Toulouse. In Lyon, police used tear gas to disperse demonstrators.
In the western city of Rennes, protesters set fire to the entrance of a police station and a conference centre.

Sudan paramilitaries say they have seized presidential palace
Sudan's powerful paramilitary Rapid Support Forces said government soldiers besieged its base in the Soba area before launching a "brutal" attack on the site with heavy and light weapons.
A subsequent statement from the RSF said the army had launched simultaneous attacks on its bases in several other cities.

Jack Teixeira: US airman charged over Pentagon documents leak
After a shout of "love you, Jack" from a person in the courtroom, the defendant replied "you too, dad".
Mr Teixeira faces up to 15 years in prison over charges of unauthorised transmission of defence information. He is also charged with the unauthorised removal and retention of classified documents.
