Prince William launches 5-year project to end long-term homelessness in UK
The six projects supported by the initiative, known as Homewards, involve collaborative efforts by local organisations, individuals and businesses to combat homelessness in their communities.
Homewards also hopes to emulate the success of Finland, where people receive permanent housing as a first step before trying to address other issues such as substance abuse.

Russia loses bid to keep new embassy site in Australia
The Russian government has lost a High Court bid to hold onto a proposed embassy site in Canberra, as it pushes back on new legislation that'd see its lease terminated.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had announced he was ending Russia’s lease on the construction site at Yarralumla, which is 500 metres away from Parliament House.

Alphabet bets on lasers to deliver internet in remote
The project known as Taara is part of Alphabet’s innovation lab called X, also nicknamed the “Moonshot Factory.” It was initiated in 2016 after attempts at using stratospheric balloons to deliver internet ran into problems due to high costs, company executives said.
