Germany takes control of Russian-owned refinery amid energy crisis
Rosneft Deutschland accounts for about 12% of Germany's oil processing capacity and is one of the largest oil processing companies in the country, the Economy Ministry said in a statement. It follows a similar move by Berlin with SEFE, formerly known as Gazprom Germania, which came under trusteeship after the Russian company Gazprom ditched it in April.

Google loses appeal over record EU anti-trust Android fine
The European General Court in Luxembourg on Wednesday ruled mostly in favour of Brussels’ decision to impose a record breaking antitrust fine on the US tech giant, but reduced it slightly to €4.125bn in order to “better reflect the gravity and the duration of the infringement”.

The previous record sale for a Basketball jersey was for a game-worn and autographed shirt worn by the late Kobe Bryant from 1996-97, which sold in May 2021 through Goldin Auctions for $3.6 million (approx. €3.59 million).

Uber investigating hack on its computer systems
The breach appeared to have compromised many of Uber’s internal systems, and a person claiming responsibility for the hack sent images of email, cloud storage and code repositories to cybersecurity researchers and The New York Times.

Nigeria and Morocco sign gas pipeline agreement
