China Covid: Leaked document show 250 million fresh cases in just 20 days
As China grapples with its first-ever national Covid-19 wave, infections have already begun to spread in villages. Multiple reports suggest that many village clinics already overwhelmed with patients suffering from fever and reporting to clinics with Covid symptoms. Emergency wards in small cities and towns southwest of Beijing are overwhelmed. Intensive care units are turning away ambulances, relatives of sick people are searching for open beds, and patients are slumped on benches in hospital corridors and lying on floors for a lack of beds.

Panama seizes record number of drugs for second consecutive year
So far this year, the Central American country has seized 126.5 tons of drug, mostly cocaine, setting a record for the second consecutive year.
The drugs were seized in more than 471 operations against drug trafficking, which included the arrest of 619 people comprising 415 Panamanians and 204 from other countries.
