IMF asks Pakistan to arrange $8 Billion for successful bailout review
IMF’s demand comes despite receiving confirmation from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) further eroding chances for the revival of the USD 6.5 billion bailout package.
A staff-level accord to release a USD 1.1 billion tranche out of a USD 6.5 billion IMF package has been delayed since November, nearly 100 days since the last staff-level mission to Pakistan.

Turkey decides on future with or without Erdogan
Turks are voting in the most pivotal elections in their modern history, to decide if Recep Tayyip Erdogan remains president after 20 years in power.

Serbia: 13,500 weapons collected in amnesty, including rocket launchers
Serbia's authorities have declared a one-month amnesty period for citizens to hand over unregistered weapons or face prison sentences as part of a crackdown on guns following the two mass shootings that left 17 people dead, many of them children.

Kenya doomsday cult death toll climbs to 201
Throughout this week authorities have been digging up shallow graves scattered through the forest looking for remains and scouring the area for any survivors as hundreds of people are still reported missing.
On Wednesday, a Kenyan court denied bail to Paul Mackenzie, leader of the Good News International Church, who has been accused of ordering his followers to starve their children and themselves to death so they could go to heaven before the end of the world.

Off-grid solar brings light, time and income to remotest villages
Indonesia has brought electricity to millions of people in recent years, going from 85% to nearly 97% coverage between 2005 and 2020, according to World Bank data. But there are still more than half a million people in Indonesia living in places the grid doesn’t reach.
While barriers still remain, experts say off-grid solar programs on the island could be replicated across the vast archipelago nation, bringing renewable energy to remote communities.

Eurovision 2023: Sweden's Loreen makes history with second win
Sweden's victory marks their seventh win in the competition, tying them with Ireland as the most successful countries in Eurovision history.
Despite not winning the top spot, Finland proved to be a fan favorite and secured second place with an impressive 526 points. Israel's Noa Kirel also had a strong showing, finishing in third place.
